Tapioca Pearls is a new vegan and gluten-free product made from tapioca starch pearls, which comes from edible cassava tubers. It is characterized by an attractive nutritional composition and is easily digestible. Tapioca Pearls Dr. Oetker has a guaranteed origin of pearls from Thailand. The product is vegan and has the certificate of the European Vegetarian Union, the so-called "V-Label". It is also AOECS certified gluten free with code number SK-003-051.
You can prepare an exotic tapioca pearl dessert with 500 ml of milk or its vegetable substitutes or fruit juice and 20-30 g of sugar. It tastes great prepared with coconut drink and cane sugar. You can decorate the finished dessert with fruit, chocolate shavings, grated coconut or nuts. We recommend storing the finished dessert in resealable jars or cans in the refrigerator to maintain its creamy consistency (max. 3 days).
Use: Pour the contents of the bag into a pot, add 500 ml of milk or herbal drink and 1-2 tablespoons of sugar (or other sweetener, e.g. rice syrup), stir the mixture and let it swell for 1 hour. After 1 hour, slowly (about 10 minutes) bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly, and cook for another 1 minute. The tapioca pearls will become transparent during cooking and the dessert will thicken. Divide the finished dessert into bowls and decorate.
